JOB OVERVIEW 

Data Analyst for the Documentation Control QSE-2 team who will have the following responsibilities: 

Process Performance Analytics 

  • Conduct EDM system queries to interrogate performance of the various stages of the DCM business process 
  • Implement Access or other relational database as necessary to preserve EDM data capture over time 
  • Develop queries and algorithms for cycle times and the subprocesses that build to the overall cycle time 
  • - collect and analyze data from (presently) manual tracking systmes to monitor trends in correct use of DCM (document change management) processes. 
  • Evaluate metrics to identify process improvement opportunities 
  • Compile QSE-2 metrics for the QSE-2 team dashboard, CD Verification Binders, and other forums such as Quality Council 

EDM System Upgrade 

  • Assist with data analysis for the EDM 2.0 project, including streamlining of metadata, data cleanup for drop downs, field mapping for data migration 
  • Support development and execution of data migration plan from EDM 1.0 to EDM 2.0 
  • Participate in design and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 

QSE-2 and Other CD Support 

  • Systematically track progress of Step 2 (remediation) 
  • Support analytics needs for Steps 3 (error reduction) and Step 4 (document retention) 
  • Conduct data analysis for document scheduling to predict constraints and inform resource planning 
  • Maintain/improve algorithms within the Schedulling Tool.

  • Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines 

Required: 

  • A minimum of an Bachelor's Degree in a technical area (e.g. Engineering, Science, Computer Science or Statistics). 
  • Three years related business experience. 
  • Experience with strategic and tactical aspects of Data Analytics, including generating metrics, analyzing data and recognizing trends. 
  • Superior skills in Excel 
  • Proficiency in relational database programming. 
  • Familiarity with SQL statements 
  • Familiarity with statistics (does not need to be a statistician)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be an independent thinker who recognizes next steps, takes initiative, and builds cross-functional relationships to augment his/her efforts by seeking information and understanding from others without explicit direction.

Preferred 

  • IT CSV experience 
  • Quality Assurance experience. 
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
