JOB OVERVIEW 

The Electro Mechanical Technician (Temporary) will be responsible for: 

  • Performing and coordinating scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities 
  • Troubleshooting daily equipment issues 
  • Analytical problem solving of automated packaging equipment 
  • Coordinating small technical projects into daily production activities 

Qualifications 

A minimum of a High School Diploma is required. An associate’s Degree in Engineering or Certificate in Electronics / Electro-Mechanical Technology or related field is strongly preferred. At least 5 years of hands-on experience with advanced industrial controls (i.e. PLC’s, Vision Systems, Robotics, Servos, etc…) is required. Experience working in a GMP environment is required. 

 

Qualified person must have awareness of NEC and NFPA codes and safety guidelines. Strong knowledge of automated packaging equipment is required. Solid GMP documentation skills are also required. Experience with Maintenance Reliability is a plus. Must have a willingness to share knowledge with team members and demonstrated ability to coordinate projects. The successful candidate will exhibit effective communication skills, build trust and foster positive working relationships with associates, and has good planning and organizational skills. Must be proficient with MS Office and have the ability to utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) MAXIMO software. Must have the ability to examine the equipment to be maintained and determine appropriate preventive maintenance, as well as be able to read blueprints and shop drawings. Some lifting is required (not to exceed 50 pounds). Must have manual dexterity for handing instruments and repetitive motions. Standing and/or walking for long periods of time is also required for this role. Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts (6:00pm – 6:30am). This position will be based in Raritan, NJ.
