JOB OVERVIEW 

Job Description: The Account Manager will work as part of a larger Client Marketing team on digital marketing and advertising campaigns. S/he will be responsible for maintaining and growing the day-to-day advertiser/agency relationships, creating and optimizing digital marketing campaigns, and defining and publishing best practices. 

The Account Manager leverages a knowledge of digital marketing best practices to develop effective advertising creative and marketing campaigns across the company, inclusive of mobile, social, email, and desktop web channels. S/he works in partnership with members of the BabyCenter Sales Organization and key departments like Creative Services, Ad Operations, Edit and Technical Production to manage campaigns and support account relationships. 

Key to this role is a passion for client service excellence, continuous improvement, and the ability to provide marketing solutions that align with our clients’ goals and objectives. For active campaigns, the Account Manager is responsible for ensuring inventory delivery, generating monthly campaign reports and results analysis, and making strategic recommendations for optimization and growth. The Account Manager’s insights and client knowledge are key to the renewal process and to growing the business in collaboration with Sales Partners. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with Advertising clients and Sales partners. Develop and execute client promotions and media campaigns. 
  • Advise clients on digital best practices and the value of the BabyCenter marketing platform 
  • Drive timelines and manage development of online and mobile advertising banners, emails, and custom promotions 
  • Provide timely and clear communication with clients on all issues related to their campaign(s) and BabyCenter 
  • Generate monthly/quarterly campaign reporting and analyze campaign results and metrics of success 
  • Proactively make recommendations to optimize clients’ campaign performance 
  • Identify renewal and up-sell opportunities with clients 
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationship with clients, Sales partners, internal cross-functional teams, and third party vendors (creative development, research, contesting) 
  • Contribute internally to overall media business and internal best practices 

Education/Experience Requirements 

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, with 3-5 years of work experience 
  • Background in advertising agency account management, internet marketing/online media, or related experience 
  • Proven client management/partnership experience with senior level clients in fortune 500 companies 
  • Proven project management experience and skills including Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Proven experience in working with a sales force 
  • Proven experience in management of creative development, ideally for online media campaigns 
  • Comfort with DoubleClick/DART/ad serving as well as rich media vendors like Pointroll, Eyeblaster and Eyewonder 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfort in presenting in front of a group 
  • Ability to think strategically while managing details 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both working internally as part of a team and working with clients 
  • Research and analytical expertise and experience working with 3rd party research vendors such as Dynamic Logic a plus 
  • Media planning experience a plus 
  • Social and mobile platform experience a plus
