JOB OVERVIEW  

Able to perform a variety of engineering functions utilizing a wide range of engineering principles in High Pace manufacturing environment. Conducts & support IPC engineering assignments / projects as directed by manufacturing managers. Participates in mechanical troubleshooting for equipment, systems and processes to support manufacturing when necessary. Support manufacturing by implementing processes aimed at improving product quality, line efficiency/process optimization. Is a continuous improvement advocate capable of utilizing a variety of statistical / process excellence tools. Provides training to METLs and technicians to operate, troubleshoot & maintain new equipment 

Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Participates or leads low to moderate scope process improvement projects aimed at improving product quality and efficiency. (30%) 
  • Participates in process troubleshooting for equipment, systems, and processes to support manufacturing. (50%) 
  • Prepares technical reports, process specifications and training programs for manufacturing sustainability (10%) 
  • Develops and performs process validation for new equipment/processes (5%) 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. (5%) 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)  
  • 3 to 5 years engineering experience in a high pace manufacturing environment; equipment development; installation & qualification required; project management exp. 
  • Preferred experience working in an FDA regulated environment 
  • Knowledge, understanding & application of principles, concepts & practices of manufacturing engineering 
  • Experienced in statistical design & analysis of experiments 
  • Excellent Oral/Written communication & organizational skills
