  • Support manufacturing and Engineering initiatives to meet customer requirements to ensure fill rates are met while reducing inventory and manufacturing cycle time. 
  • Identify, research, and order specialty equipment, parts, and supplies required to maintain plant operations, while maintaining budgetary compliance. 
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements all qualification activities of new and/or improve manufacturing processes equipment. 
  • Performs validations, and project engineering activities for complete project or portions of major projects to optimize or transfer manufacturing processes. 
  • Provides day-to-day troubleshooting and technical assistance to the site operations. 
  • Develop, monitor, and effectively use dashboards, control charts and operational indicators, taking action to correct those situations that are not in line with established controls or targets. 
  • Create and participate in a work environment in which change is embraced and collaboration is the foundation of success. 
  • Utilize Process Excellence tools as Lean / Six Sigma on existing processes, including but not limited to safety and ergonomic improvements, quality improvements, cost reductions and productivity improvements. 
  • Complete statistical analysis of data for decision making. 
  • Independently performs project activities with general instruction. 
  • Troubleshoot issues related to part quality, as well as lead implementation of changes to correct. 
  • Manage line priorities to assure that all activity is directed in alignment with Business Unit objectives. 
  • Recommend and coordinate process improvement activities with the Line Support and Operations groups. (Lean initiatives, etc.) 
  • Drive identification and successfully implement cost improvement projects (CIP). 
  • Ensure correct policies and guidelines are followed when equipment changes are requested to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.). 

Competency in all of the above plus the following: 

  • Experience with tooling design and metallurgic processes strongly desired. 
  • Ability to initiate and manage change as well as build effective teams across manufacturing and support areas in multiple facilities. 
  • Accountability for results with proven track record. 
  • Ability to take initiative in resolving both technical and business issues. 
  • Demonstrated influencing / partnering skills and be able to find common ground and solve problems. 
  • Demonstrated basic competency in project management skills. 
  • Follow current compliance regulations and standards, such as, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO requirements and complete related documentation as required 
  • Work under pressure to meet manufacturing equipment schedules and manage the complexity of working various project at the same time. 
  • Bachelors degree required, masters degree preferred and a approximately 6 to 8 years of experience in the medical device or related field.
