JOB OVERVIEW 

Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for supporting our client’s efficient and effective participation in Government Contracts and Pricing Compliance Programs for the Consumer sector. Core responsibilities include: 

  • Provide oversight on issues relating to and/or impacting government contracting, including changes to commercial processes, organizational infrastructure, government requirements and/or the external environment. 
  • Identify and analyze the root causes of GCC risk; develop and implement recommendations to remediate the risk and strengthen the overall compliance program, e.g. changes in processes, systems, roles and/or controls. 
  • Provide strategic and/or operational advice on issues related to Government purchases (Military Contracts and Resale) across the Consumer Sector. 
  • Identify Consumer Sector colleagues requiring GCC training and deploy training modules annually. 
  • Maintain the EDGE system to ensure GCC data is accurate and complete on a quarterly basis. 
  • Support testing and monitoring protocols for government contracting processes to ensure necessary risk areas are captured based upon analysis of the requirements of the Government (and related) Guidance Documents and current organizational gaps. 
  • Work across multi-functional teams to support existing Management Action Plans (MAP) resolution and identify potential areas of concern. 
  • Prepare quarterly GCC updates for Compliance Committee distribution/review. 
  • Assist with the annual GCC assessments and year end certification. 
  • Participate in CPC meetings and/or Compliance Committee meetings, as needed. 

Qualifications: 

Education:

  • BA or BS degree required, preferably in an analytical area. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years progressive professional/business experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Three or more years experience in healthcare industry contracting, pricing or finance/auditing.
  • Knowledge of common industry commercial sales practices for healthcare products is required; understanding the interrelationship between commercial -government programs is highly desired. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders, influencing peers as well as senior managers to adopt change and drive results, particularly in a matrix environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to address and resolve issues/conflicts by communicating difficult information tactfully and diplomatically is required.

  • A self-starter who works well independently to investigate and resolve emerging issues without a prescribed solution 
  • Strong communication, collaboration and negotiating skills 
  • Works well across multiple functions/companies and across all levels management facilitating discussions with diverse and multiple stakeholders. 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies that span multiple business partners, functions and organizations.
