JOB OVERVIEW 

SUMMARY:

Produces process documents and forms used to record quality information in various departments throughout the plant. Creates and/or modifies forms that are user friendly and are designed to minimize the opportunities for documentation errors. Documents must meet regulatory and procedural requirements, 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  1. Performs technical writing and editing functions to prepare process documents and quality forms including Device History Records, QA testing forms, and shipping forms. 
  2. Must be knowledgeable of Good Documentation Practices (GDP). 
  3. Complies with procedures documentation content and format. 
  4. Employs mistake proofing techniques to design forms that enable GDP requirements to be satisfied. 
  5. Partners with process experts and document users to establish the optimal form design from a user standpoint. 
  6. Leads kaizen sessions with cross-functional teams to develop new forms or improve existing forms. 
  7. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes technical information from various relevant sources. 
  8. Prioritizes work to be accomplished and maintains a database of documents in various states of submission to track progress. 
  9. Performs other tasks as identified. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS 

  1. Minimum Associates Degree in engineering, engineering technology, quality or related field experience is required. 
  2. 5 years experience of technical writing/documentation or similar is preferred. 
  3. Experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred. 
  4. Experience with MICROSOFT WORD and EXCEL for writing and editing documents is required. 
  5. Experience in using electronic documentation systems to submit documents for approval is preferred. 
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relation skills are required.
