JOB OVERVIEW 

The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the compnay's Quality Systems by handling global training mailbox support for internal business partners. The Training Specialist is accountable for creating courses and assigning curricula in multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) when requested by QS management, global training content owners, or sector training partners ensuring that they are deployed accurately in alignment with current standard operating procedures. Add personnel to global LMS user groups or other existing user groups. When requested, provide access to the LMS after ensuring that the appropriate training was completed. 

Specific duties include: 

 

  • Reset user passwords for one or more LMS 
  • Work with business partners to identify and create company, role or functional based training curricula 
  • Create global training courses and curricula and enter that information in one or more LMS 
  • Deploy global training assignments in one or more LMS 
  • Remove training/curricula as defined by local procedures 
  • Troubleshoot user problems with the LMS, eLearning courses, or curriculum 
  • Ensure users receive the correct training by homing them in one or more LMS according to departmental procedures 
  • Upon request unlock or terminate user accounts 
  • Generate training reports for audits/inspections and as needed 
  • Create and deploy global training communication 
  • Notify users if there are LMS issues or service interruptions 
  • Assign appropriate system security access after verification of identified training 
  • Train/assist new users to use the LMS upon request 
  • Develop eLearning courses as appropriate 

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years 
  • Ability to work in a global environment 
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems creating curricula and making training assignments (ComplianceWire preferred) 
  • MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Experience with database applications 
  • Experience developing training metrics and conducting data analysis. 
  • Demonstrated time management skills 
  • eLearning design skills highly desirable 
  • Training delivery experience and/or demonstrated effective presentation skills is highly desirable 

Education: 

  • BS in Education, Human Resources, Information Systems, Physical/Life Sciences, or equivalent experience.
